Going to pain clinic has been a new experience for us. After our general practitioner, retired and left me in the care of a new doctor; this doctor didn’t want to continue giving me pain medication after struggling for 32 years of Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am now too high risk for surgeries and need medication to manage my pain. I was referred to Dr. Gilman and he seems to understand find me an offer other choices for me, such as pain blocks and giving me more option to manage my pain. Another pain doctor made me feel like a drug addict. I don’t feel that way with Dr. Gillman. I enjoy the Swan Road location. The receptionists treat the patients more respectful than others. Dr. Gillman has been very good with me. I would recommend him to other people.
Dr. Gilman listened to my concerns and helped me come up with a plan of action for my pain that I was comfortable with. Very kind and compassionate.
Dr. Gilman was very understanding and explained about new medication. Which I can’t take because of draining the sodium from my body. Everyone was so kind to me.
I just transitioned a few months ago to Dr. Gilman’s care at Quality of Life and was alittle worried how things would go under his care after long term care with a different doctor. It’s hard enough for chronic pain patients with all the regs just trying to get our meds that are a lifeline to our ability to work and function each day but Dr Gilman has made the transition easy and almost seamless. He’s very thorough, always gives me options despite knowing a cure isn’t possible without invasive surgery, and is willing to listen and work with me around my busy schedule. I’ve only seen him once at the Pain Institute so we’re both learning something new but am happy with the excellent care he provides me at each of my appointments. Thanks Dr. Gilman for helping keep my pain in check! You rock!
While I usually see Sylvia (FNP-C), who is very professional, kind and caring, my last appointment was with Dr. Gilman. Consistent with PISA’s incredible standards, Dr. Gilman didn’t disappoint. He was warm, friendly and caring. Always in good hands at PISA!
