Nicole A. Brubaker, MSN, FNP-BC
With more than seventeen years of experience in the healthcare sector, she commenced her professional career in 2007 as a Patient Care Technician and obtained an Associate of Science in Nursing in 2013. She furthered her education while practicing in the Intensive Care Unit, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2015. She is a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau and a new member to AANP (American Association of Nurse Practitioners). In January 2022, she advanced into a leadership role, assisting in managing a local Emergency Department, while simultaneously pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) from Grand Canyon University. In October of 2024, she graduated with an MSN-FNP from GCU, and became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through ANCC in January 2025. Her mother was her inspiration to get involved in the medical field and has since been her biggest supporter throughout her education and career. Loving what you do in healthcare is really important to succeed. Those working in healthcare face many tough times, and a true passion for helping others can give you the strength to keep going. When things get hard, staying focused on your purpose and caring about your work helps you get through challenges. Exhibiting empathy—understanding and sharing patients’ emotional experiences—helps build trust and establish strong, meaningful relationships. Reliability and trustworthiness are fundamental qualities in healthcare. Given the individual circumstances of each patient, providers must demonstrate flexibility and adapt their approach to effectively address each person’s unique needs.
As a new Advanced Practice Provider, she is enthusiastic about learning from experienced experts. At PISA, she believes she will benefit from the guidance and support of a team of esteemed pain management specialists who will assist her in her ongoing development. When Nicole isn’t working, she loves to spend time with her mother, 4 fur-babies, and going to the movies. She is an avid car and anime enthusiast. She looks forward to the summers in Tucson where she can relax and soak up the sun.
