I had my first interaction with America and her assistant recently. They were both very friendly and pleasant while unit.. I am more likely to share my concerns if I am treated with respect.(Like you would a good friend or family member) America has very good listening skills, a sense of humor and still maintains a professionalism. When a person has to be seen, whether it is once a month or possibly 3 to 4 times a month, that person may be seeing the provider more than they see their own friends or family members.
Pain, in my opinion, limits or alters what activities, interactions and finances the patient has, so anyone that can bring some happiness while also providing a caring attitude, like America, is a true blessing. It makes one feel like one still has value emotionally/mentally in a social setting.
